What We Offer
Preschool A - E
Children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age develop an appreciation and healthy respect for the water, and learn important water skills that build the foundation for a continued happy, fun and successful learning experience.
Swimmer 1 - 6
Children 6 years of age and older, regardless of their ability or experience will enjoy these lessons as we incorporate progressions and drills into each lesson in order to build the swimmer's strength, endurance and overall confidence and ability in the water.
Adult Lessons
No matter what your age is and regardless of your swimming ability, or previous experience in the water, adult lessons will help to improve technique, fitness, confidence and comfort levels.
Swim Patrol Program- Rookie/Ranger/Star
These programs are for those who have completed Swimmer 6 and who would like to develop their swimming skills as well as learn some basic lifesaving skills. These courses will improve physical capabilities in the water as well as assist you in making safe decisions in and around the water. The Patrol Program will run as a combined course and swimmers will have the opportunity to complete as many skills in each level as possible, which could mean that they pass through more than one level during the course of the lessons.
Leadership Program
For people who would like to develop their Lifesaving Skills and/or are thinking about pursuing a career in the aquatic environment.
Bronze Star
Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that swimmers complete the Swim Patrol Programs prior to taking this course. This course includes a timed 400m swim.
Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross
To participate in Bronze Medallion, you must be at least 13 years of age OR have successfully completed Bronze Star. Bronze Cross is for those who have completed Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid.
Instructors - Swim and Lifesaving
To become a Lifesaving Society swim and lifesaving instructor, you must be at least 15 years of age and have completed Bronze Cross (or higher). 100% attendance is mandatory.
Standard First Aid with CPR-C
Includes training in Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid, CPR and AED. This course is WSIB approved. It is also a prerequisite to NLS and for obtaining employment at an aquatic facility.
What We Do
We are affiliated with the Lifesaving Society, and are licensed to run their programs. We offer a variety of courses including swimming lessons for beginners to lifesaving courses for the more advanced, as well as WSIB approved First Aid courses.
